I apologize for another vision/insurance related post, but I canapos;t find much in the tags.

I have the pleasure of being the "organized one" in my household and I am trying to make sense of my husbandapos;s (and now my) health insurance benefits through UW. Since the open enrollment ends this week I am trying to make sure we choose the right plan. I have scoured online as much as I can (since we never received brochures) and just canapos;t determine what the deal is with vision plans through UW. It seems there might be one free eye exam per year under "HMO Uniform Benefits" but there is so little info listed I canapos;t be sure. We currently have Unity which doesnapos;t appear to have any vision benefit or glasses discount. Can anyone correct me on this, or do you know what the deal is with the other UW providers (Dean, PP, GHC)? It appears GHC has some sort of vision discount, but it doesnapos;t state what it is. My husband and I both need eye exams and new glasses badly and it would be nice if there was a free eye exam or a discount somewhere in the fine print. If only I could read it with these damn raggedy glasses...

So, Iapos;ve actually been working on the 50themes thing (Ok, so Iapos;ve written a drabble that doesnapos;t entirely count. It was still written in the spirit of the challenge, and thatapos;s what counts most, right? ...Right?) Anyways, I think that Iapos;m going to start posting these up on ff.net once theyapos;re, yapos;know, actually written and all. Itapos;ll be nice, since then I can creep into the AtLA section stealthily, get some followers, then WHAM Launch The Starter Mob on them. (Tl;dr-havenapos;t explained The Starter Mob/TSM yet, donapos;t worry about it.)

Looking forward to this date all week long.� Shower, shave, get dressed and about to walk out the door to when the date cancels on me.� Yes, I�am a little pissed off right. Glad that I�checked my IM account before leaving and let her know I�was on my way before driving an hour to get down there and find out she cancelled on me.

Iapos;ve been down and out with a cold for the past week. Sore throat, headache, just fucking bone-weary all the time -- its been a struggle to stay awake at work, and no matter how early I go to bed, its even worse to get out of bed in the morning.

The past two days, the Boo has had to come get me up, or at least check on me to make sure Iapos;m awake. This morning, she came up and said, apos;Iapos;m dressed, I ate breakfast and brushed me teeth, and all I need to do is put on socks and sneakersapos;. Her hair was even pulled back in a neat poneytail.

Iapos;d like to say this is somehow unusual, but its not. She really is a remarkably responsible child. Her chores are almost all am chores -- she needs to let the dogs out, feed them, and feed and water the cats every morning. And sheapos;s almost perfect about it -- the cats sometimes get neglected, because they all live in the basement, and I think get short shrifted if sheapos;s short on time. But sheapos;s just so damn good it totally shocks me, almost always. And I make sure to tell her thatapos;s sheapos;s a good kid and that weapos;re really impressed with her behavoir, because I think its important to acknowledge it. (Sheapos;s hella lot better than I was at her age, Iapos;m pretty sure. Also, thatapos;s what my mother tells me.)

Iapos;m just so damn proud.
